Awful Logic is an electronic industrial band who uses various noises and sounds, along with keyboard instruments to develop their own creative approach to music; while giving each album its own unique sound and feel. Their vocals are considered a bit aggressive, but does not take away from the unique sound that they have developed. The name of the band was based on a simple idea and became the premise of most of the songs: bad ideas; based on twisted thoughts, actions, and experiences. Most of the songs do have dual meanings, and are often described of as "dark, with thoughts that are often denied by the rational or sane."

Carl started this new project in May of 2007, after the disbandment of Haunted Reason. Taking the music into a slightly different direction, the music went more keyboard orientated, more layers of sounds, and making the lyrics based on more personal issues.

They recorded their first 2 full-length albums in 2007. Blackhole was released in August of 2007, while Blood Soaked was released in January of 2008. Prior to releasing Blackhole, they made an extended version Death Box, threw some other songs that were not going onto the album, and released it as Death Box EP. Similarly, they released Take in the Evil EP with the songs that were not going onto the album, but were a bit more rougher. For Halloween, they made a 6 song EP (Halloween 2007) that had a few songs from the Blackhole and the forthcoming Blood Soaked, but only offered it temporarily. Ultimately, they released 27 new songs in 2007.

2009 brought the full-length album Damned, along with the Damned Demos EP, having variations and non-released songs from that album. Soon thereafter, they released the exclusive download album at Amazon, Some Singles, which focused on Blackhole and Damned. Later they released Blood Soaked Skin which included some variations of the songs from Blood Soaked as well as some previously unreleased songs; both EP's contained 7 songs each.

They are now working on a new full-length album, Dark Energy, and anticipate it being released some time in 2013.
